This is a 20 hours a week position DAY TIME/EVENING HOURS.

All candidates require a human services, OPWDD, or related background; non-related experience will not be considered.

We are a Bronx-based voluntary, non-profit, non-sectarian and tax exempt organization, serving a mentally/developmentally challenged population ranging from young adults to senior citizens in a comprehensive continuum of human services.

For over four decades, we have provided residential services consisting of counseling, case management, day treatment/training and vocational services, as well as nutritional, medical/dental, pharmaceutical, occupational/physical therapy, psychological, psychiatry, recreation/social activities, speech pathology/audiology, transportation, and social services.

The responsibilities of the QA/Training Coordinator are to develop, implement, and maintain measurable ongoing quality assurance, performance, and training processes evaluated on a regular basis of the ICF (Intermediate Care Facility), and IRA’s (Individualized Residential Alternative) in the Residential Services Division and Day Habilitation Program Services.

Responsibilities and Duties

Maintains a thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance policies and procedures, Quality Improvement processes/protocols, and updates to Federal, State and Local regulations.

• Coordinates and conducts all trainings/in-services and orientations to staff. Along with the Corporate Compliance Officer, participates in corporate compliance in-services to Administrators, staff, vendors, clinicians, and parents.
• Performs daily examinations of program functions, system basis and provides systematic follow up.
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate documents, records, statistics, reports, evaluations, and the like.
• Investigates all incidents for the program and follows up with appropriate filing (147) of Reportable Incidents, Serious Reportable Incidents and Allegations of Abuse. Upload investigations into OPWDD, IRMA, and WSIR websites.
• Arranges and participates in meetings for the Incident Review Committee.
• Arranges for all required training and in-services for staff in Incident Reporting, protocols, and updates.
• Will be required to visit other sites to conduct training's and meetings.
• Serves as a liaison between Residential Administrators, parents, staff, clinicians, and community agencies.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified applicants will be required to submit a sample internal investigation which demonstrates knowledge of state regulations, step-by-step process, and conclusion.
• Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred, in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field.

Preferred Experience

• Three years of administrative and QA/training duties, with at least two years working with developmentally/physically/mentally disabled population.
• Excellent computer and typing skills
• Demonstrated competency in written, verbal and computational skills to present documents in accordance with program standards.
• Clean NYS Driver’s license
